Which campaign of guild wars should I begin with? And also any tips on what profession to choose?
I’ve never played guild wars before and I wonder which campaign should I start as my first game? Also, any recommendations for professions and tips for a noob like me?

About the profession it’s your choice. For the game I would recommend factions to begin with. Also you should look at two websites for good information. for good builds.

One more thing. Don’t start a mesmer in a campaign because it *****.

I’d say Nightfall, thats the easiest to start with and you get your own heroes pretty fast, so you can give them the builds you want.

Everyone has their own favorite profession, if you’ve never played it yet its hard to know what you want. Just try out several. Warrior is easiest to start with (most straightforward) but my own favorites are monk and necromancer.

And I disagree, mesmer can be HUGE fun!

Which campaign you want to start with depends on what you want to do in Guild Wars.

Factions has the best PvP system, but the shortest main quest.
Prophecies has the longest main quest, but the fewest number of special features.
Nightfall has a middle length game quest, but comes with heroes that makes solo play easier.

As for classes, I’d try out several of them.

Warriors are the simplest class to play, followed by Nightfall’s Dervish.
    Rangers are surprisingly survivable.
Monks can almost always find a group to join, but most people expect you to be a healer.
Mesmer’s are one of the more complex classes. It requires really good timing and knowledge of moves to play one well.
Elementalist are a fun blow-up-everything class.
Necromancers do great lingering damage, and can control hordes of pets.

Prophecies is the original Guild Wars, so I would suggest starting out with that and then save up for Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North.
Your profession depends on what you like. For example, if you love to have fun like one of the answerer s said, I’d go for the Elementalist. Just read the information on them.
    I suggest going to GuildWiki:
    And guildwars.com.
    Good luck!

    Factions>Nightfall>Prophecies>Eye of the North

Play whatever profession you think would be the most fun, try them out and then decide on one for the long haul.
