a marketing idea for the Starburst candy?

I have this idea for a campaign add, slogan and all for the Starburst candy product, it is a pretty great marketing idea that has been approved by everyone it has been presented to. I don’t want to give away my ideas online sorry, but what I would love to know is how to go about getting in touch with a company to present them with such ideas? All answers are appreciated and accepted, thank you!

Make an appointment with the marketing department.
Sounds simple and it really is.
A couple phone calls and you should be able to get to those you need to talk to. Don’t divulge anything over the phone, present yourself as professionally as possible, and go in there with confidence.
They will see you – it just may take a little time. If it is that good of an idea it is timeless though. and you can wait until they can take the time for you.
Most companies like that have monthly meeting in similar departments, and as long as you treat them seriously they will do the same.
Make sure your proposal is DETAILED. Detailed in every aspect, don’t go in with a bunch of sketches on torn out wire bound paper.
A power point presentation is probably the most effective. And you should be able to rent a P/P projector and screen from somewhere.
Try to go in with all aspects of the idea. Commercials, print ads, web ads, packaging ideas. Hit them with all of it.
They will reject new ideas if they look at it and think that they’ll have to do 90% of the work.
Good Luck and I hope to see your commercial and marketing approach out there soon.
I agree with everything said above, PLUS make the outcome tangible. Show them how it could increase sales. Talk about their demographic…take a look at what they are doing now, who they are targeting. They know who their customer base is, with just a small amount of research, you can too (off the top of my head, I’d say tweens/teens). Talk about numbers…qualify your campaign.
