It’s nice for a company as old as Dove to go out on a limb and put “real women” in their commercials instead of models

I think that it’s great that a mainstream company is choosing not to go with all of the same old marketing that gives young people false perceptions about what we need to look like. It is awesome, and it does make me feel good!

Absolutely! It’s about time that we see real women on TV and not the unattainable beauty they’re always trying to stick down our throats.

I already felt good about myself….
but i know what you mean, just great to see average size women, and not TWIGGY like women, with the body of a 12yr old… in every dang commercial or print ads.

It’s nice of them to use real women in their ads, but from a marketing standpoint it’s a terrible idea. A good marketing campaign should attempt to make the purchaser want their product because they feel they will attain the same high standards as the models. Some of those women in those ads are just plain overweight and unattractive and portray the image that most women are desperately trying to shed. If that’s what Dove products will make me look like I’ll pass.
