Community Service for the entire Firm?

I’m in the marketing department of the my firm, and would like to implement a Firm-wide community service event. I’m envisioning a 10 week campaign with a kick off party, teams etc. I’ve done some internet searches on finding the right charities, but I can’t seem to narrow it down. Has anyone been a part of a company wide charitable event? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

    Contact your local United Way. Most have a department for Direct Services and a person from that department usually has a listing of local organizations looking for groups to do specific projects.

    our company usually joins the Heart Walk for the American Heart Association. Teams are form and each team collects a sum of money and then teams from other organization shows up during the Heart Walk
