Did you know that someone can find your campaign contributions online?

I just found this. http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/ I know, I know, its the huffington post. I’m not a big fan either. However, you can search for people by name, address, city or zip to see who has donated, who they donated to, and how much. It goes back a few years as well.
I’m just trying to check to see if this is accurate. If you donated any money, is it on here? You don’t have to say how much or to who, I’m just wondering if this is true. I’ve never donated money, and from what I’ve looked up, neither has anyone I know.
So, my question is 1) Did you know you could look this up 2) Is it accurate?
All you guys knew this? Wow, I must be getting old, I had no idea. I didn’t know that it was public information.
And no, I’m not ashamed of who I vote for. I work for the government. I never make any contributions as I get a new boss every few years, and they have a tendancy to look into peoples past political contributions, party affiliation and the like, and hold it against them.
Actually, one can find more than that. They can find your current address, past addresses, family names, age, legal violations, voting record, see photos of your house and how much you paid for it, all for free! Privacy is a thing of the past.
Edit: That said, I just tested this as I made contributions, and I didn’t show up on the list, so I question the accuracy of this tool.

This is true, and it should be. I do not agree with finding your address, pictures etc as one poster mentioned, but it should be transparent. Although, I do not remember a listing for “Hamas” on any of these sites. . .just like I cannot find a donation by “United Klans of America”
It’s not very accurate. I’ve donated, my parents, my fiance, her parents all have donated too and none of us are on that.
Hmm..my name didn’t come up and I donated to both Kerry and Obama
