Is emailing the Samaritans actually all that good?

For support.. I’ve heard they’re good, but from people who have, what are they like? Do they give robotic/scripted replies, are they careless or do they genuinely care?

Speaking to someone in the flesh and blood or on the phone is always better than a impersonal e mail.
