When emailing a word document containing 3rd party fonts, does the recipient need the fonts installed to view?

Posted Friday, December 17, 2010 by admin

Will they be able to view it correctly if they don’t have the font(s) installed on their computer?

If not would saving & sending the document as a PDF file fix the problem?

No to the the first question, they would need the fonts….

Yes to the second question, if the fonts are embedded

Sending it as a PDF will fix the problem is the font doesn’t show up properly in the word document.

Saving your file as PDF can fix the problem you are facing as the word Doc requires the same font u are using to open in other sys as in ur sys.
