Is a new pattern emerging from the Obama agenda? Or at least is the same pattern becoming clearer?

Posted Wednesday, May 12, 2010 by admin

When Obama took office, the first major legislation was the trillion dollar porkulus.

Then he embarked on a high profile health care reform, which eclipsed the much more urgently needed finanical reforms.

Now health care reform has degenerated into just a money grab to collect fines from us.

And he used the porkulus as a slush fund to buy votes for his next money grab.

Now details are emerging from the financial reforms, which look a lot like the bipartisan banking deregulation of 1999, which cause the banking meltdown of 2008.

House eases restrictions on derivatives trades
“A bipartisan coalition in the House voted late Thursday to make it easier for corporations to engage in complex derivatives trades without government restrictions, eroding the reach of proposed regulations to govern Wall Street.”

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091211/ap_on_bi_ge/us_financial_overhaul

House scales back proposed Wall Street rules
“nearly half the Democrats teamed up with Republicans late Thursday to loosen restrictions on derivatives and reject tougher regulations…

“The legislation still imposes restrictions on derivatives, aiming to prevent manipulation in and bring transparency to a $600 trillion global market. An amendment by New York Democrat Scott Murphy, adopted 304-124 Thursday night, exempted businesses that trade in derivatives, not as financial speculators, but to hedge against market fluctuations such as currency rates or gasoline prices. The amendment also provided an exception for businesses that are not considered too big to be a risk to the financial system.

“A Democratic effort to make more companies subject to derivatives regulation failed 279-150.

“On Wednesday, pro-business Democrats succeeded in making it harder for states to enforce their own consumer protection rules on national banks. Under a compromise struck with Democratic leaders and Treasury officials, states would not be able to pre-empt federal consumer laws if the state law “materially” interferes with the business of banks.

“The bill is H.R.4173″

As for Obama’s role in this fiasco:

Obama’s Big Sellout
“What’s taken place in the year since Obama won the presidency has turned out to be one of the most dramatic political about-faces in our history. Elected in the midst of a crushing economic crisis brought on by a decade of orgiastic deregulation and unchecked greed, Obama had a clear mandate to rein in Wall Street and remake the entire structure of the American economy. What he did instead was ship even his most marginally progressive campaign advisers off to various bureaucratic Siberias, while packing the key economic positions in his White House with the very people who caused the crisis in the first place.”

But in public he puts on a different face:

Obama Slams ‘Fat Cat’ Bankers

Doesn’t it appear that Obama considers the government to revolve around money, money money, and each money grab is just leverage for the next money grab?

How many receipt-less voting machines are used nation-wide?

Democracy: Can we trust systems that have no accountability?

* With electronic voting machines tabulating more than 80 percent of the ballots cast in America,
* Seattle grandmother Bev Harris set out to determine the obvious: Do they work?
* Based on the evidence presented here, the answer is “not really”
* The picture that emerges as Harris unearths a treasure trove of info about mishandled votes and the inner workings of the machines is that they’re not only fallible but also highly vulnerable to hacking.

* This wonderful documentary proves my point that we have the best democracy that money can buy
* along with our judicial system.
* This film is more frightening than any horror film I’ve seen, because THIS IS REAL!
* And this is movie biased?
* Not at all.
* It’s an absolute eye opener that shows that your vote really doesn’t count; and make sure you watch the deleted scenes(another 33 minutes of fantastic footage).

This is an excellent documentary that I think every American should see before they vote again. This is not a movie about Bush vs. Kerry or Republicans vs. Democrats. Its about our current voting system and exposing a multitude of problems with that system as demonstrated in the 2004 election. We are told “EVERY VOTE COUNTS” and this documentary exposes the corruption, mistruths, and shameful negligence and mishandling of these “VOTES” in a way that cannot be denied nor ignored – unless you don’t watch it for yourself.

This is a must-see documentary, especially for those still doubtful about whether elections in this country can be tampered with. The answer is yes, yes, yes!!! Kudos to Bev Harris who has dedicated years to exposing the corruption surrounding electronic voting. Get this. After Hacking Democracy’s premiere on HBO, Harris received death threats. That’s how risky and powerful her work is.

This is an amazing documentary showing that there are problems with the way we vote in America. When a normal everyday citizen gets up and challenges the system, you see how the system fights back. This woman doesn’t give up like most of us would and shows us and one election official in Florida that the way our voting system was run and still is, has errors.

If you are an American & have the ability to vote, please do yourself a favor and put this in your queue immediately(especially since this is an election year). This wonderful documentary proves my point that we have the best democracy that money can buy, along with our judicial system. This film is more frightening than any horror film I’ve seen, because THIS IS REAL! And this is movie biased? Not at all. It’s an absolute eye opener that shows that your vote really doesn’t count; and make sure you watch the deleted scenes(another 33 minutes of fantastic footage).

Even though I also watched the original slasher classic Black Christmas, this was the scariest movie I saw over the Christmas break. Although the filmmakers obviously have every reason to sensationalize potential problems with electronic voting systems (“good news is no news,” right?), the implications here are frightening. Not only did Bev Harris (founder of a non-partisan watchdog group) find voting machine code unprotected on the internet, she was able to successfully hack it and prove that results could be manipulated (you can watch this being done in a matter of seconds in this film). The lack of oversight of the companies who control the majority of electronic voting is astounding, almost as bad as the sloppy manner in which our government oversees the elections themselves.

Probably the scariest movie I’ve watched in a long time. The production value isn’t good, but its worth sitting through to find out just how easy it would be for just one person with an agenda to manipulate the outcome of an election.

Politics in America is scarey enough, but when you see what is going on with our elections system, you will just go through the roof. We have hoped through the last few centuries that a government of the people, by the people and for the people would not parish from the face of the earth, and that America would be its shining example. After viewing this flick, you will realize just how tarnished our example has become. We have realized in the past decades, that money rules, and it just feels like our votes don’t count, only the money that backs our politicians. Only the corporations and special interests have access to the politicians these days, not the people that vote. This picture goes a long way to explaining how that happens. After realizing the truths in this documentary, I feel even more helpless and useless to change a corrupt government by my vote. Did my vote get counted? How would I even know? The facts put forth in this program are just about incredible, but you come away realizing their powerful credibility. I wondered why their hasn’t been criminal prosecution of the election fraud that is running rampant in our country today? Where are prosecuters? Why aren’t elections officials who ignore our right to have our votes counted, recounter and certified being placed on trial for crimes against the electorate? You owe it to yourself and your country to see this documentary long before the next election. Don’t miss this one!

Wow. I just finished watching this documentary, and I can’t believe what I heard and saw. This is not another Michael Moore speculative film that makes assumptions with no factual evidence. This is incredible. Everyone should see this film. It is truly an amazing look inside of our election system.

We must all see this movie. It’s not JUST about elections. It’s about the undermining of our society, the breakdown. My opinion is that we should get away from secret voting and out into the public. Democracy is where WE THE PEOPLE elect our officials. You must see this to know why I write this.

This is what makes America great: a woman, with a full life, puts it all behind her because she has come across the ultimate injustice and knows that she must right it. This is the story of the creation of the group and webpage BlackBoxVoting.com Having found the Diebold’s source code, a code that not even the President of the United States can see, Bev Harris takes the code to an expert. What is revealed causes Harris to criss cross America, to prove the fact that Diebold had literally hijacked democracy. Although it’s possible, it’s difficult to believe that anyone can think that the 2004 Presidential Election wasn’t rigged after viewing this film. A ‘must see’ for every American.

One of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen… because it’s true. If you liked ‘All the presidents men’ or ‘The Insider’ You’ll like this movie. Actually come to think of it, what this story needs is a treatment like the above mentioned movies so the message could have a broader appeal beyond this documentary.

Highly recommedable as the documentary reveals what we all have been suspecting and fearing in an objective and somewhat scientific way. It is quite timely, and I think we can all relate to the topic at hand. I was touched by the reaction of some of the people in the movie when they proved how the voting system can be hacked without much effort

Unbelievable. That’s how I describe this excellent documentary. Every citizen of the USA owes it to themselves to watch this documentary. It is just shocking. It calls into question everything we know about how our votes are recorded in this country. My jaw literally dropped when I saw one part of it. I won’t ruin it for those who haven’t seen it. This film is all about voting machines and how votes are tabulated. It makes mincemeat of the Diebold Corporation, manufacturer of a large percentage of the electronic voting machines used in the United States. It reveals Diebold officials making lie after lie about the security of their machines. The makers of the film meticulously document how, using Diebold’s machines and data cards, someone with just a basic understanding of the technology involved (including, certainly, any Diebold employee) could rig the vote count, on one machine or on thousands of them, with absolutely no record that the rigging was ever done. The film also reveals how Diebold’s chief executive officer was (and maybe still is) a large contributor to the Republican Party. He once wrote a letter stating that he would “deliver” Ohio’s electoral votes in the 2004 presidential election for George W. Bush. The film later shows how his company managed to persuade Cuyahoga County, Ohio (where Cleveland is) to buy its machines. Maybe there is nothing fishy going on there, but appearances matter! Lest the film be seen as partisan, it features, among others, a Republican office-seeker from Louisiana who, after losing her race, went to view a demonstration of the machines that the voters used. As part of the demonstration she pressed the button next to her name, and the machine registered a vote for her opponent. Hmmm. She was understandably troubled. Moreover, the film points out that in many parts of the country it is in fact the local Republican Party that is wary of electronic voting machines, not the Democrats. Hacking Democracy also reveals problems with punch card voting systems–problems that dwarf the famous “hanging chad” problem of the 2000 presidential vote count in Florida. The film’s message is distressing, but it is one all American citizens should hear and see.

Yes, the documentary could use a bit of editing, but the points raised are valid enough to keep it interesting. Instead of taking a partisan view on the movie, realize how intensly frightening this movie really is. Should it be just one grandmother’s job to inform us how we’re being duped? No. It’s our responsibility as citizens to stay informed and demand voting accuracy.

Every voter should see this film. It leaves you with your head shaking, wondering how the history of the last 8 years might read if the vote-tampering exposed in Hacking Democracy hadnt been possible. Also a testament to how one regular person can make a difference, this documentary is very well done. Youll **** what you learn.

SA 1674508, Yazheirx, JR 65420, RS 305556, their reviews are absolutely the threat that we all have about democracy. It is because their kind of ignorance that this movie is a 5 star and a must for every single human being to watch and learn. There is no excuse for any voting system to be too technical, too complex, too secret that we cannot prove what the votes were years from when the votes were taken. Not even 50 years, not even 100 years, not even 1000 years, not ever. For anyone to suggest that the electronic voting system is not possible to understand and to do a documentary for by a handful of heroic citizens, it is an insult to this country and democracy. Let these be the commandments of election: 1) No voting methods should be more complicated than what pen/pencil can do on a ballot. 2) Vote handling in any election process should be transparent to the public no matter when, why, how, what, who. 3) Only 100% accuracy should be accepted. Anything less then 100% should be recounted no matter how many times, how long it takes, and how much it cost to be 100% accurate. 4) Without 100% accuracy, election cannot be concluded. Another election should be conducted immediately without further delay.

Like several other reviewers I wanted to like this movie but the spin and lack of solution suggestions prevented me. I agree with the need for more transparency with voting machines. I think we should have an open source voting program such that interest groups can spend their money to improve them. I still could not get past the spin. The final documentary cardinal sin for me is – no solution recommended. I am all for people pointing out problems and issues, but please at least spend 2 minutes exploring what we could do (Who killed the electric car did this well). They did not even suggest the simplest of solutions use write once memory.

It takes movies like this to open up your eyes to the reality behind fraudulent and deceitful practices. From an early age, we are conditioned to believe what the government tells us. Fortunately, we have warriors like these folks who are willing to risk it all to uncover the truth. I applaud the movie makers who did this not for their own good, but to bring honor back to the one thing has makes us stand out as a nation… the right to vote. One of the most moving comments I heard was from the lady’s husband (an African-American male)… who basically said “we have spent decades fighting for the right to vote, and we’re not about to let that go for naught. If you vote, or you will someday vote… WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!

You should be scared..VERY SCARED. Bev Harris takes us through her journey of simply wondering why Al Gore had a negative amount of votes in Florida in the 2000 election. She discovers and unlocks a engine search on Google only to enter a world of lying, cover ups and deceit. The deliciously evil DieBold Company is as diabolical as they come with an evil CEO and his assorted flunkies trying to project their steadfast competancy, while trying cover up their sophomoric mechanical process that cannot begin to promise accuracy for determining vote tabulations. Please watch!

This documentary was further proof that Government should never be fully trusted, especially when they lean heavily on corporate interests and “free markets.” I advise anyone who intends to vote again to watch this. Yes, it can be too dramatic at times, but that is forgivable because of the point they’re trying to make here. The last two presidential elections were stolen from the people, are we going to let this happen again?

Eye opening!! It will motivate you to be more involved as a citizen and to ask yourself the question…Is America truly a democracy? Your disgust for the corruption going on will make you appreciate the woman in this documentary. She’s just like you and I…but on an amazing, dedicated crusade to demand the truth within our voting system. This is not done in the same fashion as Michael Moore films (although I like M.M…..I take his spin on things with a grain of salt)….It is much more “real” and simplistic…Please watch if you care about the democratic system and our “gift” of the freedom to vote for our representatives!! You will think twice about whether your vote is counted accurately!

This documentary should be viewed by every citizen and legislator in the country. The exit polls which have been very reliable for decades have been stopped, because the polls favored both Gore and Kerry in 2000 and 2004. Please call your local, state and federal representatives to apprise them of this documentary. It is a must see. If this fixing of our votes continues unchecked, our country is lost to criminals who are on a campaign to lose the democracy and install a meritocracy/fascism state.

4) Anyone who tempered, manipulated, or impede election transparency should have his or her name and photograph posted at all polling location as warning. 5) All voting records must be transparent and available to the public no matter when, where, how, who, what, why, for as long as this universe exist. 6) If the voting devices are insufficient to support the number of voters or voter satisfaction, any traditionally acceptable voting methods must be applied immediately upon voters’ request even if it means by ways of raising hands or handwriting the vote and be certified and witnessed by election officials. It is election officials’ responsibility to make sure no one is turned away from voting due to the environment, the facility, the devices, the personnel, the transit, or the safety. It is because of this movie, that I understand the shame and disgrace that we will all be facing should we become complacent from protecting the sacred rights and experience of voting. I for one would not want to be known as the generation that allowed this country’s election process be deteriorate and be mocked forever in the history.

Every american who intends to vote in the upcoming election should watch this movie! This documentary is expertly produced by HBO and keeps a fun and gitchy feeling through out while exposing a shocking lackadaisical attitude by election officials. The film is educational and show how citizens can make a difference by simply asking uestions.

I am the Robert that is spoken about in the extra section Glades CO., FL. The people of Glades CO. are honest hard-working and would string a person up from the Courthouse if someone played games with an election.I do not have the time or space to pull all of the flaws of this movie apart.I am not a “Paid Hack” for Diebold. My Politics are way left of Al Gore.Should we question the system–YES!But we should also question this movie. The makers of this film know just enough about IT to scare people. Looking for a “backdoor” on a windows system while it is up and running in your face! You are clueless about IT.Would I change some things–sure. All worthwhile systems evolve. Many elections have been stolen with “paper” ballots. The system is as honest as the people running it and that means us, brothers and sisters, how honest are you? @

This documentary was one of the most frightening things I have ever seen. The ease with which are elections can be manipulated is scary. The fact that Diebold uses deception and tricks of speech to try and weasel out of responsibility is reprehensible. No matter their defense as to why, the fact is that a middle income housewife was able to download their “secret” program and with a little help change the votes of a test election with nothing but a memory card. This film should be seen by every American, regardless of political orientation. A false election is the worst insult to our heritage and every man, woman and child who ever lived and died in this “free” society.

Mandatory viewing for this election year. Fire the independent vendors counting the votes in the various states and start again. Praise these souls who are working to have your votes counted (really counted that is).

An important little documentary that gets at the core issues surrounding electronic voting machines and their ability to be manipulated. If you enjoy living in a free country as much as I do, you’ll find this very interesting.

You have to see this. It is truly shocking to see how easily this software can be manipulated by using elementary hacking techniques. It is obvious to me that these companies do not have our interests in mind in the slightest. And it is not a democrat or republican thing either. Both parties’ candidates are seeing irregularities on a regular basis. All of us need to be calling our representatives at the local, state and federal level to let them know we demand independent oversight and testing on these machines.

I really wanted to get behind this movie, but at no time did it provide any evidence that there was any intentional voter fraud of any kind going on. All they did was demonstrate how one could hack a system if they knew everything about how it works. Yay. Machines are just as fallible as people, we get it. Both could be potentially influenced without any accountability. For me, this documentary was just another hot-headed account of what “might” be happening, without any proof presented. As usual, the possibility that simple incompetance is the more likely culprit, rather than some right/left conspiracy, was never addressed.

Very impressive look at the troubling spread of electronic balloting devices. The ease of hacking the machines to create an outcome regardless of the actual vote is very disturbing. The documentary may appear to be just another conspiracy theory, but the actual evidence is persuasive and genuine. I hope everyone views this film before they visit their voting precinct again.

OH MY GOD!! I knew about how Diebold purportedly ***** and I’d heard about the voter fraud in Ohio–but to actually see it, to witness it with your own eyes, and to see how the poor blacks in Ohio were relegated to one voting machine with 4-5 hour waits…it’s just shocking. It made me so ashamed of this country, this government, and the big corporations who run it (although there was one “YEAH CALIFORNIA!” moment in there). Unfortunately, it does not have a happy ending, and it left us wondering what we could do to help. Very sobering. Everyone should see this, and I know I’ll be recommending it to all my friends & co-workers.

Would you vote for a “person” for President who supports these measures?

Posted Wednesday, April 14, 2010 by admin

I Posted this and it got DELETED. FOR NO FREAKING REASON!

So I’m Going to Post it Again.

Here’s the Theoretical candidate. Would you vote for them?

1. Pull all of our troops out of Iraq and around the world safely and strategically (accoriding to the commanders on the ground).

2. Work to Abolish various government agencies, including…
-The Federal Reserve
-The IRS
-The Department of Education
-The Department of Energy
-The FDA
-The INS
-The FBI and CIA
-The Secret Service
-The FCC
etc…

3. I would repeal the 16th ammendment and replace it with a 1% sales tax on all products, as well as leaving various tarrifs and user fees.

4. I would cut 95% of government spending, to compensate for the tax cut, and pull federal authority back to its constitutional purpose.

5. I would allow for a slow, but gradual, privatization of Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, and Education in this country.

6. I would make all “victimless crime” legal including…
-Ending the War on Drugs
-Prostitution
-Gambling
-Marijuana (for medical and non-medical purposes)
-Seat-belts
-Gay Civil-Unions, “marriage”
-Flag Burning
etc…

7. I would repeal all bans and regulations (except for criminal background checks) on Guns and respect the Second Ammendment.

8. I would secure our borders (without building a wall) and reform Immigration by making it easier for immigrants to come into this country legally. I would return this country to a free trade, free travel society. I would also provide a path to citizenship (not amnesty) for illegals already here.

9. I would make pollution of air and water a property rights issue and combat environmental crimes. (I would not, however, buy into the scare tactics of so called “Global Warming” which is only a natural weather pattern of our planet)

10. I would reintistute letters of marque and reprisal to go after and defend against terrorist organizations that attack or pose a legitimate threat to us. (This would be completely up to congress to declare) I would never go to war, unless there was a direct purpose in defending our national security. I would allow the congress to declare it, the supreme court to investigate it, the people to support it, and I would go in there and get the job done.

11. I would declare an unborn child a human being and therefore afforded the right to life. This would end the abortion holocaust in this country.

12. I would appoint only strict constructionist judges, turn back powers to the congress and the people, and only use my power when constitutional and necessary. I would also advocate reduction in the size of government, term limits to eliminate corruption, and return of powers to state and local governments. Finally, I would never accept special interest money… at all.

13. I would end all corporate subsidies, the welfare state, and unconstitutional regulation. This would return us to a capitalist, free-market, lasseiz-faire, and prosperous society.

14. I would withdraw from the U.N.(except for having an ambassador and basic relationship) otherwise I would get out of any organization or agreement which comprimises U.S. soverignty. This includes the CFR, World Bank, and WTO.

15. I would balance the budget and stop deficit spending. This includes no printing money, borrowing from China and Saudi Arabia, and excessive taxation.

16. I would abolish the “patriot” act and return the right of privacy to all Americans. No more Guantanamo, torture, and unconstitutional arrests which violates the fouth ammendment.

17. No more censorship of free speech, including the Internet, and all religions will be tolerated and accepted in public affairs… none will supercede any others.

18. I would promote freedom through diplomacy, engagement, trade, and peaceful means… especially by example. I would not hesitate to fight criminals and enemies when needed.

19. I would return democracy to our electoral system. No more campaign finance reform or regulations making it impossible for opposing viewpoints to be heard on media outlets, third parties and independents to get on ballots… as well I would open up the majority of government, ending the secritive police state, and make it as democratic as possible.

20. I will end the death penalty.

21. Last but not least, I would allow 1 person a year to win a lottery (offered to all americans) to get a free ride on airforce one. The taxpayer pays for it, they should get a chance to enjoy it.

And that’s about it.
Madvlad: Tell me where all those organizations are in the Constitution and I will immediatly delete that one.
Upwardga…: You got me!
Are we really that easy to pick out?
Patriot: His name is Ron Paul. Google him.

Paladin: You are right… that’s why this is theoritical. It’s the basic ideology that I’m trying to get accross.
Official Cowboy Apoligist:
I know, that’s why I would abolish it. You really should read the rest of it… you might like what you read.
caldude1: This is actually my take on everything, not Ron Paul’s. I think Ron Paul would actually agree with me here… you should read his Sanctity of Life Bill.
Delphi:
Would you then support murder in any case?
Bill and Carrey S: That’s my own little addition. I think it would be a great idea don’t you? LOL
Tommy: America Bashing Libertarian… Libertarian… get it right you Constitution bashing neo-con.

What do you think of Germany’s resounding rejection of socialism?

Posted Saturday, April 10, 2010 by admin

In the midst of its deepest postwar recession, Germany elected a conservative-free market government Sunday. Maybe the reports of capitalism’s demise have been premature.

As we went to press, Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union and its Bavarian sister party seemed poised to garner 33.7% of the votes, the second-worst result in their history. But this would still put them some 10 percentage points ahead of the Social Democrats, who had their worst election night in 60 years.

The big winner was the pro-business Free Democratic Party, with a record 14.6% of the vote. This will be enough to end what has been an unnatural alliance between the country’s two main political rivals and secure a majority for the center-right coalition. It also gives Mrs. Merkel the opportunity to do the tax-cutting and deregulating that she campaigned on four years ago, assuming she still has the courage of those convictions.

The Free Democrats campaigned on a €35 billion tax cut combined with a radical simplification of one of the most complex tax codes in the world. The current rates, which rise gradually from 14% to 45%, would be replaced with three brackets of 15%, 25% and 35%. The proposal has come to be known as the “beer-coaster reform”—as in, you could fit the whole tax return on a beer coaster. The reform would make Germany’s tax code among the most competitive and transparent in the industrialized world.

Are Americans more guilt stricken because of BS political marketing campaigns?

Posted Thursday, April 8, 2010 by admin

I was watching how these politicians keep telling us we need to **** it up and pay more. You need to bail out companies, you need to bail out people who can’t pay their mortgage, etc.

Anyone else tired of the BS? I work hard and pay my taxes. Isn’t that what being an American is all about. Any charitable giving and work I do is none of the governments business.

Isn’t it Anti-American dream to have some weasel tell you how you should live you life?

How can I get involved in volunteering for a political campaign?

McCain was sounding the alarm bell in 2005. Why weren’t we listening?

Posted Monday, March 22, 2010 by admin

Remember in 2005 when McCain cosponsored legislation that would regulate ***** and Freddy’s mortgage buying requirements? Here’s the last paragraph of his announcement:

“I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.” <===this was 2005!

McCain was sounding the alarm bell 3 years ago, but no one was listening.

The full announcement:

What was Obama doing while McCain was warning us about Freddy and *****? :

"Lehman Brothers’ collapse is traced back to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the two big mortgage banks that got a federal bailout a few weeks ago. Freddie and Fannie used huge lobbying budgets and political contributions to keep regulators off their backs. A group called the center for responsive politics keeps track of which politicians get Fannie and Freddie political contributions. The top three U.S. Senators getting big Fannie and Freddie political bucks were democrats and number two is Senator Barack Obama."

In just four short years, Barack Obama has received more campaign money from ***** And Freddy than any other Senator except Chris Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, as reported by The Center for Responsive Politics, seen here at opensecrets:

Republicans have been leery of John McCain, but he got the surge right, back in 2003. Thank God the current administration finally listened to him. Once again, this time with the economy, McCain’s good judgment would have saved our ***** had we listened to him. John McCain blew the whistle on ***** and Freddy back in 2005, while Obama was getting his palm greased by the same group. There’s some good judgment you can believe in!

I AM THE AUTHOR OF THIS QUESTION EXCEPT FOR THE TWO QUOTES!
Care to provide a link Judo? One of my sources was the US Senate!
I understand Westhill. It's hard to explain why McCain was blowing the whistle on ***** and Fred while Obama was getting money from them both. More money in 4 short years that 20 and 30 year Senate veterans. I can't explain it either.
Sorry Westhill. I forgot to address your question. McCain is sort of in the middle. He's not completely liked by Democrats or Republicans. His bill did not get the support necessary to get out of committee from either side.

I understand why Lieberman, an Independent, likes McCain and has thrown his support to McCain even though he caucuses with Democrats. McCain, although Republican, behaves like an Independent when making decisions for America. His first concern is "What's Best for My Country."

.
Lady Snowbird:
It's called bundling. The money came from Freddy and ***** as individual contributions bundled by the two mortgage lenders.

Obama Slams ‘Fat Cat’ Bankers

But behind close doors he gets all smoochy with them:

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/31234647/obamas_big_sellout/2

Obama’s Big Sellout
“What’s taken place in the year since Obama won the presidency has turned out to be one of the most dramatic political about-faces in our history. Elected in the midst of a crushing economic crisis brought on by a decade of orgiastic deregulation and unchecked greed, Obama had a clear mandate to rein in Wall Street and remake the entire structure of the American economy. What he did instead was ship even his most marginally progressive campaign advisers off to various bureaucratic Siberias, while packing the key economic positions in his White House with the very people who caused the crisis in the first place.”

And Congress is in on it, too:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091211/ap_on_bi_ge/us_financial_overhaul

OK, whose side are they REALLY on?

How true is this?

George Bush’s Resignation Speech

If Bush resigned today, this is what his speech would be…..
Normally, I start these things out by saying ‘My Fellow Americans’, not doing it this time. If the polls are any indication, I don’t know who more than half of you are anymore. I do know something terrible has happened, and that you’re really not fellow Americans any longer. I’ll cut right to the chase here: I quit. Now before anyone gets all in lather about me quitting to avoid impeachment, or to avoid prosecution, let me assure you: There’s been no breaking of laws or impeachable offenses in this office.

The reason I’m quitting is simple. I’m fed up with you people. I’m fed up because you have no understanding of what’s really going on in the world. Or of what’s going on in this once-great nation of ours. And the majority of you are too damned lazy to do your homework and figure it out.

Let’s start local. You’ve been sold a bill of goods by politicians and the news media. Polls show that the majority of you think the economy is in the tank. And that’s despite record numbers of homeowners, including record numbers of MINORITY homeowners. And while we’re mentioning minorities, I’ll point out that minority business ownership is at an all-time high. Our unemployment rate is as low as it ever was during the Clinton administration. I’ve mentioned all those things before, but it doesn’t sink in.

Despite the shock to our economy ofMeanwhile, all you can do is whine about gas prices, and most of you are too damn stupid to realize that gas prices are high because there’s increased demand in other parts of the world, and because a small handful of noisy idiots are more worried about polar bears and beachfront property than your economic security. 9/11, the stock market has rebounded to record levels and more Americans than ever are participating in these markets.

We face real threats in the world.

Don’t give me this ‘blood for oil’ crap. If I were trading blood for oil I would’ve already seized Iraq ’s oil fields and let the rest of the country go to hell. And don’t give me this ‘Bush Lied; People Died’ crap either. If I were the liar you morons take me for, I could’ve easily had chemical weapons planted in Iraq so they could be ‘discovered.’ Instead, I owned up to the fact that the intelligence was faulty.

Let me remind you that the rest of the world thought Saddam had the goods, same as me. Let me also remind you that regime change in Iraq was official US policy before I came into office. Clinton established that policy. Bet you didn’t know that, did you?

You idiots need to understand that we face a unique enemy. Back during the cold war, there were two major competing political and economic models squaring off. We won that war, but we did so because fundamentally, the Communists wanted to survive, just as we do. We were simply able to out spend and out-tech them.

That’s not the case this time. The soldiers of our new enemy don’t care if they survive. In fact, they want to die. That’d be fine, as long as they weren’t also committed to taking as many of you with them as they can. But they are. They want to kill you, and the bastards are all over the globe. You should be grateful that they haven’t gotten any more of us here in the United States since September 11. But you’re not. That’s because you’ve got no idea how hard a small number of intelligence, military, law enforcement, and homeland security people have worked to make sure of that. When this whole mess started, I warned you that this would be a long and difficult fight. I’m disappointed how many of you people think a long and difficult fight amounts to a single season of ‘Survivor.’

Instead, you’ve grown impatient You’re incapable of seeing things through the long lens of history, the way our enemies do. You think that wars should last a few months, a few years, tops.

Making matters worse, you actively support those who help the enemy. Every time you buy the New York Times, every time you send a donation to a cut-and-run Democrat’s political campaign, well, you might just as well FedEx a grenade launcher to a Jihadist. It amounts to the same thing.

In this day and age, it’s easy enough to find the truth. It’s all over the Internet, it just isn’t on the pages of the New York Times or on NBC News. But even if it were, I doubt you’d be any smarter. Most of you would rather watch American Idol.

I could say more about your expectations that the government will always be there to bail you out, even if you’re too stupid to leave a city that’s below sea level and has a Cat 5 hurricane approaching.

I could say more about your idiotic belief that government, not your own wallet, is where the money comes from. But I’ve come to the conclusion that were I to do so, it would sail right over your heads.

So, I quit. I’m going back to Crawford. I’ve got an energy-efficient house down there (Al Gore could only dream of) and the capability to be fully self-sufficient. No one ever heard of Crawford before I got elected, and as soon as I’m done here pretty much no one will ever hear of it again. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to die of old age before the last pillars of America fall.

Oh, and by the way, Cheney’s quitting too.

That means Pelosi is your new President. You asked for it – you can have her. Watch what she does carefully, because I still have a glimmer of hope that there are just enough of you remaining who are smart enough to turn this thing around in 2008.
So that’s it.

God bless what’s left of America . Some of you know what I mean. The rest of you – kiss my ***!
