I’m going to be starting my own business in a few weeks, selling various handmade items such as: jewelry, sculpture, pottery, journals, sketchbooks, screen printed items [T-shirts, napkins, tablecloths], scarfs, posters, prints, etc. that I’ve made. In addition to making all of the items, I’ve also been working on a marketing campaign for my online store as well, including newspaper ads, [both for print and online] and video ads.
What is the correct way to list something like that on a resume? [Last semester, the profs taught us how to write our resumes since it was an important part of our portfolios, but they never covered what you should do if you run a business on the internet. I'm just asking since I would like to keep my resume up to date.]

My business is simple enough. Ads online for just starting at one dollar. No Credit cards are required or anything, how do I let people know about such a good deal? Personal ads can be submitted with as much personal info as you want to put there. We have a scanner and such. Even people with out the Internet can use this.

Is it because it is a . biz site that people dont trust it. All I wanna do is help people out by making something cheaper. Putting an ad in the news paper is not going to be a dollar. At the most 5 bucks should cover it.
If you have any suggestions on how to make this work better and get the word out on it, please fill me in….

Advertising on the internet is great, but sometimes expensive even with a budget. What percentage of your income should be set for online advertising?

I’m thinking of advertising online with various newspaper publications. The purpose of the ads will be to drive traffic to my website where the customer can purchase various health, fitness, and beauty related products. In a separate ad, I’ll advertise a business opportunity for which customers will also be driven to a website. Many of the newspapers have sections for these types of offerings whether in the general classifieds or display ads in their lifestyle magazines.
I want to reach enough interested customers to get a good rate of return. Is asking for a 2% – 5% rate of return asking too much or too little? What would be a good target number of impressions to purchase to get this rate of return?
Please give me good info and if you have supporting information from the internet, please provide it. The best answer will receive 10 points.

I plan to buy a book on Marketing for my Internet business which has been online for some time but no sales have been coming in. Should I focus on book on marketing strategies or any other type of books? I plan to do not online an online marketing campaign but also offline ones like viral marketing, above-the-line, and below-the-line. Can anyone recommend a good book, with title and author?

Things I’ve experimented with so far:
– Clickbank Affiliate Sales (I’ve made a little bit, but haven’t done an adwords campaign before)
- Clickbank Publisher (I wrote a book – it’s doing well; Sold many copies myself– can’t figure out why affiliates don’t jump on it)
- Adsense (heh… I make under a back a day… big deal)
Any more things I should try…..? Looking to make as much as possible without investing a lot.
Thanks in advance for any and all answers.
P.S. Don’t recommend ebooks or get rich-quick guides. I’ve seen them all…. I’m not gonna purchase anything– just looking for advice from others who are into internet marketing as well.
